![]() ![]() ![]() Spy x Family's dodgeball scene was also funnier than Tomo-chan's, including Bill Watkins' comically powerful build despite being six years old. Damian finally showed his noble, chivalrous side in the dodgeball game and, even if he denied it and mocked Anya afterward, progress was still made. Meanwhile, even if Spy x Family's dodgeball game was an example of one step forward and one step back, that game allowed allowed the tsundere Damian Desmond to fight for Anya's sake. Tomo showed ingenuity in her own game and found victory, but nothing about the event developed her character or relationship with Junichiro. Notably, Gorou gained an appreciation for Jun but not Tomo since he didn't think any girl - even the tough Tomo Aizawa - could be a proper rival for him.Īlthough Tomo won her dodgeball game and Anya and Damian lost theirs, Spy x Family had the better dodgeball sequence overall. Junichiro also pointed out that Gorou tends to let his guard down too easily, which cost him the game. In the end, they broke even and had a newfound respect for one another. Gorou directly confronted and fought Junichiro after the game, judo vs karate. Then Tatsumi threw the ball at Gorou and eliminated him. She ultimately got creative and threw the ball at an angle, allowing it to bounce off the floor between Gorou's legs, where Tatsumi caught it. ![]() Tomo was riled up but not even she could overcome Gorou's bottomless strength. Tomo's team fell one by one - thanks to the massive Gorou throwing the dodgeball as though it were a cannonball - but like Damian in Spy x Family, the ahodere Junichiro leaped in the way to protect the lead girl from getting hit. In recent Tomo-Chan Is a Girl! episodes, Tomo Aizawa also found herself staring down a massive, seemingly unbeatable opponent in gym class during a dodgeball game. It was one of his earliest outward hints that he actually does care about Anya and doesn't want to see her get hurt, at least not by someone else's hand. It didn't save their class from defeat, but it did suggest Damian has an honorable side after all. Still, Anya did a fine job using her telepathy and Yor's training to evade Bill's ferocious attacks, and most of all, Damian surprised everyone when he intercepted a powerful dodgeball attack from Bill to protect Anya. Both were ultimately knocked out, and Bill's team won. Anya was desperate to win so she could make her way toward a Stella Star for her performance, but not even Damian Desmond, a solid young athlete in his own right, stood much of a chance. When the dodgeball game began, a massive six-year-old on the other team, Bill Watkins, quickly dominated and knocked out most of Anya's teammates with ease. Anya was a terrible student academically and wasn't much better with sports, so she trained with her foster mother Yor, mostly for comic effect. In Episode 10 of Spy x Family, the lovable co-protagonist Anya faced an all-new challenge at Eden Academy: a dodgeball game in gym class. ![]()
